Make-up times—We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you are not able to attend a session, we understand; life happens. I can not guarantee make-up sessions. Every hour is filled. If your child continues to miss sessions, you may lose your spot to someone on the waitlist.
Tardiness—We understand that unforeseen circumstances can cause it. If you anticipate being late, please let us know immediately. The appointment end time will remain the same even if the start time is delayed.
No Call/No Show - You may risk losing your spot if you miss 2 or more sessions without prior notice. While we understand that life can be unpredictable, it's important to remember that the missed session still needs to be paid for. Your payment secures your spot. This is just like daycare or other activities.
Vacations - Please let us know about any vacations you have planned. Our policy at The Tree of Knowledge is to provide a flexible vacation period of one week off (1, 2 or 3 days, depending on your contract) at no charge. Any additional vacation time will require payment. Payment ensures that you keep your reserved time for intervention. I do offer Zoom sessions if you would like to have intervention services while you are away.
Drop-off and pick-up policy—
Please be as prompt as possible. It is very likely that another student is scheduled directly after your child.
Clothing—There is no official/ enforced dress code for students, but please bring your child reasonably clothed for their appointment. This is a shirt, a pair of pants, and a pair of shoes. If one of these things is missing, you will miss your session. If your child needs a change of clothes in case of an accident, please place them in a clearly labeled, sealed bag. We will both try to remember to change them out seasonally.
Meetings and Advocacy—When possible, schedule these meetings during your child's allotted time. If this doesn’t work, we must plan well in advance. Please understand that other clients have pre-scheduled times as well. There will be a charge of $75 per hour for consultation and advocacy.
Travel - When traveling to your child's school, there will be a $25 travel charge for any mileage over 20 miles. This charge may increase based on mileage and time spent driving.
Payment methods: CASH is always appreciated; check, Venmo, and Zelle are welcome! Each session is 50 minutes to an hour long and costs $75 for 1 session per week, $130 for 2 sessions per week (mandatory for the first 6 months), and $180 for 3 sessions per week. What I charge is non-negotiable. You can pre-pay your balance weekly or monthly. Other agreed-upon arrangements can be made with clear communication and guidelines.
Clients must attend at least twice a week for the first 6 months of intervention. Three times a week during the summer is strongly advised unless you are in a maintenance program. These are the same policies as daycares and all extracurricular activities.
